Between February 24th and March 1st, a goodly number of friars from the Paris Province met in the Trappist Abbey of Soligny to make a spiritual retreat together, according to the desire expressed in the 2017 Provincial Chapter. This desire became a reality in the place where a young man named Lucien Bunel made discernment retreats before discovering Carmel and entering under the name of Jacques de Jesus, a prominent figure in our Paris Province.
During the retreat, the religious followed several meditations, in the form of Lectio, on Biblical characters: Adam, Abraham, Jacob, Peter and Judas.
