Blessed Eusebio of the Infant Jesus & his 15 companion martyrs

Fr Eusebio of the Infant Jesus and the entire Discalced Carmelite community of Toledo were martyred between July and September 1936, during the religious persecution in Spain in the 1930s. They were beatified in Rome on October 28 2007, together with 498 other Spanish martyrs.They courageously faced the moment of their death witnessing to their faithfulness in Jesus Christ. They pardoned those who were about to kill them and cried out Long live Christ the King, Their names are: Father Eusebio of the Infant Jesus, Brother Joseph Augustin of the Blessed Sacrament, Brother Hermilo of St Elijah, Brother Elia of Jesus Crucified, Brother Perfecto of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Brother Clement of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Brother Constantine of St Joseph, Brother Joseph-Mary of Our Lady of Sorrows, Father Nazario of the Sacred Heart, Father Peter Joseph of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Father Ramon of our Lady of Mt Carmel, Brother Melchior of the Infant Jesus, Brother Felix of our Lady of Mt Carmel, Brother Placid of the Infant Jesus, Brother Daniel of the Sacred Passion and Father Tirso of Jesus and Mary.
