Fr. Daniel was born in Lagos (Nigeria) on June 8, 1965. He completed his philosophical studies in Isienu (Nsukka) and professed simple vows on July 16, 1997.
After his theological studies in Nairobi (Kenya), he made Solemn Profession on December 8, 2001. He was ordained to the Priesthood on July 13, 2002. He was assigned to the parish of Mary the Queen, Ekpoma after ordination and served there as assistant parish priest till 2005. Much later that same year, he was transferred to the Novitiate Community in Nsukka. He went on to study Spirituality at the Teresianum in Rome from 2007 to 2009. When he returned from studies, he was reassigned to the Novitiate as Novice Master from 2009 to 2015. After serving as Novice Master, he was brought back to the parish and was the assistant parish priest in the parish of Christ the King in Abuja until his new assignment as Definitor for Africa.
In the General Definitory that met on November 14, 2015 he was elected Definitor for Africa. Fr. Daniel comes from the Provincial Vicariate of Nigeria.
His area of assignment as the General Definitor for Africa includes the English and French speaking African Countries where we have a Carmelite presence, as well as Madagascar and some islands in the Indian Ocean.
